Thank you for your interest in my work. As an artist, I have the awesome opportunity to create visual representations of my thoughts, ideas, feelings and impressions. Beyond just expressing myself, however, I view my work as an opportunity to communicate. In order to best present this work, I feel that I must truly understand what I am expressing. I must constantly question my motivations and subconscious desires.
   
  My work represented here is about Light and Perspective. Through light I express passion, comfort, warmth, intimacy…. Utilizing perspective, I create the opportunity for discovery, for communication, and for understanding. By developing the unique materials and techniques that I have with my artwork, I communicate my desire for the world - that people will strengthen their connections to their own inner passions, and that they will broaden their perspectives to allow our many differences to co-exist harmoniously.
   
  At first, it may appear as if there is little correlation between my decorative design work and my photo-based mixed-media work. Yet, I assure you a very strong correlation exists….

  Like my decorative lighting design, my photographic artwork is an engineered discovery process wherein the viewer is attracted to the basic feeling evoked and then led through an unveiling of new perspectives. As with most art though, very few people will experience this process consciously. They will simply feel it. And through feeling one may experience the communication of a subconscious thought.
   
  I communicate my ideas in a way that others may connect to their own passion. I communicate new perspectives which cause people to question their assumptions. From light:  passion… love. From perspective:  illumination… understanding.
